For most college teams in the country, their conference season starts now. For all but the very elite, their only chance at a NCAA Tournament birth is by doing work in the Conference and taking momentum into their postseason. The last two weeks there were Minnesotans making waves from coast to great lakes coast. The FAU Owls are flying with the help of Mia Hennes and Hailey Landrus, Marquette are bolstered by Katie Koker, Chloe Olson and Abby Ruhland, and Meredith Haakenson stands out as a Super Senior at Michigan. Look at how NDSU are taking a step up in '22 and catch up on all of the player stats from Minnesotans playing D1.

FAU buoyed by Mia Hennes and Hailey Landrus

FAU is off to a solid start to year, a 5-3-2 record including scoring a non conference win over Kansas and winning their first C-USA game against North Texas away. 2 Minnesotans have played big roles for FAU, Mia Sennes and Hailey Landrus (pictured below in the player tracker). Sennes has a goal and 400 minutes in 9 games, while Landrus has 3 assists and 752 minutes in 10 games. Having finished last year 6-7-5, the Owls look to make a step up this year and run into the Conference USA Tournament. Look for their MN Duo to continue playing a role.

Marquette's MN Trio

Marquette has started the year basically beating who you'd expect them to beat, taking a 4-3-1 record into Big East play. Tough non conference matchups with Notre Dame and Minnesota away were the only games that got a bit away from the Golden Eagles. They start Big East Conference play this week at Depaul (Sept 22) and Butler (Sept 25) and a trio of Minnesotans are playing a part. Lead by Gopher transfer Katie Koker, who's played 567 minutes in 8 starts, she's joined by Keeper Chloe Olson and Freshman Forward Abby Ruhland. Stream all of their games via their website!

Meredith Haakenson leads Michigan

Michigan is coming off of a Final Four season and return 3 grad players along with 8 seniors. Their expectations are most definitely high for this year. One of the grad players is Maple Grove's Meredith Haakenson, who's picked up where she left off last year, with a little more offensive juice. She's got 3 goals and 5 assists in 639 minutes, or a goal/assist every 79 minutes -- Super Senior production. Haakenson had an assist on the game saving goal against #19 Colorado and continues to anchor the midfield for the Wolverines. Michigan plays Ohio St (Sept 22) and Nebraska (Sept 25) on BTN+ before a big away matchup at Minnesota on September 27. That game is at 7pm on big BTN, but get out to ELR if you're in the Twin Cities, it should be a huge game for both teams.

NDSU start Summit play with winning Non Conference

The Bison finished last year with 3 wins. Rip that goal off the bulletin board because they're already 4-3-3 this year. You could see reasons for optimism for the year with returning depth and balanced production from attackers. So far NDSU has shown a different level of competitiveness this year, highlighted by wins over Drake, UW Green Bay, Utah Tech and Chicago State. There are too many Minnesotans to name here but look at the incredible balanced production on the offensive end down in the player tracker. You can watch NDSU start their Summit League season at Denver and Omaha this weekend. All Summit League games are streamed from the team websites!
