5 on 5 soccer tournament this weekend at the National Sports Center - FREE for Equal Time Soccer readers!
Neymar Jr’s Five is a global five-a-side tournament and this weekend it's coming to Minnesota. The tournament is open to teams of five to seven players aged 18 to 25 and each team can have two players older than 25, as well. The winning team of each division gets an all-expense paid trip to Miami to battle against fifteen other US cities to be crowned US Champion.
The registration is $30 per team, but readers of Equal Time Soccer can register for FREE by using the code RBFriend at checkout. The tournament starts at 12:00 (noon) on Saturday, May 19.

Jenista (Jennie) Clark starred for the Gopher soccer team, played in the Women's Professional Soccer league (the predecessor to the NWSL), and had a lengthy career in the Bundesliga in Germany. Now she's the League Administrator for the Twin Cities Soccer League.
We talked to her about making a life overseas, transitioning out of her playing career, and advice she'd give younger players who are considering playing professionally.
Kelsey Hood had an incredibly successful college career for the Gophers, earning All Conference, All Region, and All America honors from 2005-2008. From there, she’s had stints playing in the W-League in Vancouver, coaching with the Gophers, and playing for several years in the top league in Norway.
We talk to her about adjusting to a new league, carving out a career in the women’s pro game, and her journey from Ankeny, Iowa to the “Bible Belt” of Norway.
